BRANDS AND FANS ABOARD THE 100-YEAR CELEBRATIONS OF THE WIMBLEDON CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Wimbledon Championships 2022 have commenced and official broadcaster Star Sports has roped in 9 brands for the most coveted Grand Slam. As the 2022 edition marks 100 years to the iconic tournament, brands are keen to leverage the biggest grand slam of the year on broadcast. The list includes Renault as a Presenting Sponsor, Parimatch News as Co-Presenting Sponsor, Vistara and LIC as associate sponsors while Rolex, Mahindra Auto, Mercedes, Airtel and Ford have come aboard as advertisers.
The Grand Slam is full of compelling narratives that have brought alive the passion for the sport among fans across the country. The race to most number of grand slam wins between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, the return of seven-time champion Serena Williams and battle of these legends against young emerging stars like Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek and Emma Raducanu has made the Wimbledon Championships one of the most anticipated events of the year. The grass court tournament is the most coveted Grand Slam for every player that plays tennis at the international level and this edition stands to be a high intensity affair given the kind of narratives at play.
The first round of the tournament has begun and is broadcasted live and exclusive on Star Sports Select with telecast starting at 4 PM IST.
